Capoeira is a dynamic Brazilian tradition that combines dance, acrobatics, self-defense, percussion, and songs into a playful competition between opponents. Instrutoria Sereia and members of ABADA-Capoeira will put on an exciting performance, and you will learn movement games, call and response songs, clap some rhythms, and try your hand at some of the instruments. The morning will conclude with a “roda” (circle) in which everyone can play and sing together.
