The event will celebrate natural childbirth and feature speakers including Tina Cassidy (author of Birth: The Surprising History of How We Are Born), Judy Norsigian, founder of Our Bodies Ourselves, and Marjorie Decker, Cambridge City Council member, as well as children's activities, live jazz from Stan Strickland, a parade of Birth Center children, and light refreshments.
The Cambridge Birth Center is one of only two free-standing birth centers remaining in Massachusetts and is an option for women who would like to experience a more natural, homelike birthing experience. For more info, call 617-665-2229.
