Elegant handwriting was considered to be essential for gentlefolk in the 18th century. Writing Masters held classes or were hired for individual instruction on 'the pen's majesty'. Our Writing Master will show you old documents and demonstrate the handwriting styles that were used for different purposes - and you can 'try your hand' with a quill pen.
