More than 1,500 racers and thousands of spectators line the River as the race winds through Dedham, Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Waltham, and Boston to the free day-long Finish Line Festival at Herter Park, Soldiers Field Rd. Brighton.
Races include the $5,000 Professional Flatwater Canoe Marathon, a 24 mile relay race for teams of 10, and a 19, 9, and 6 mile race.
