On July 24th from 12:00-4:00pm, Sudbury Park & Recreation will be hosting a free power soccer clinic. This event is open for males and females of any age who use a power wheelchair. Power soccer is played just like soccer but adapted and designed specifically for people who use power wheelchairs. The game is played on a regulation size basketball court using a 13” soccer ball and a plastic guard that attaches to the front of the power chair. It is the first competitive team sport available for people who use power wheelchairs.

This clinic will allow individuals who use power wheelchairs to try-out power soccer first hand, put on a guard, play a game, meet other athletes, and then even sign up to play on a power soccer team this fall! As an added bonus, three professional power soccer athletes will be in attendance and will be helping to coach, model, and answer questions about power soccer.

Please preregister for this event by July 22, 2010, by calling Anna Wood at (978)639-3257.
