A preview of the Historical Longsword classes at Athena School of Arms. The class features the Longsword, weapon of the Medieval Knight. At the end of class get to fight with longswords (kid safe equipment).

Come see and use the iconic weapon of the Medieval Knight - the Longsword.

Whether it's an interest in history or fantasy fiction, the martial arts of the Medieval era make for an exciting evening.

The event is for Middle and High school aged children.

The class is well-suited to a variety of individuals because the small class size - no more than 12 - allows instruction to be customized to the student.

Be prepared to sweat and move.

There is a strong fitness component to the program which helps develop lifetime health habits, as well as creating better fencers.

Historical Fencing provides the development of fitness, discipline and becomes a lifetime interest.

Historical Fencing at Athena School of Arms motivates exercise, scholarship, community and teamwork.

All equipment is provided for new students.

We use equipment specially designed for our purposes to ensure safety while allowing us to accurately study Medieval swordplay.

At the end of class get to actually fight with longswords (using the kid safe equipment).
