A two-time NCAA Champion and member of the 1988 Olympic Team, Paul Friedberg teaches and leads this 6-Unit (60 minute each) beginner course designed for kids with no prior experience (ages
10-14).
This course is intended to provide students with the fundamentals of fencing including footwork, bladework, bouting, and refereeing.
- This class will use a combination of lecture, demonstration, group exercise and partner drills.
- All of the necessary fencing gear will be provided to course participants.
- Athletic shoes and long athletic sweatpants are required, but not provided.
It will allow students to develop the ability to analyze a fencing bout and promote creativity in applying acquired skills in a fencing bout.
