The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is offering weekly Tai Chi classes. Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art of self defense, now done in a modified style mainly as a health practice. Its forms combine relaxed, fluid, slow movements with a calm and alert mental state. By practicing Tai Chi movements, one can build endurance and enhance flexibility, balance, and coordination.

The classes will be held in the Science Center’s lovely Kirkwood Gardens on Route 3 in Holderness (A second series will be offered from June 26 through August 14.)

Reservations and advance payment required.

About the Squam Lake Science Center
The mission of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is to advance understanding of ecology by exploring New Hampshire’s natural world. Through spectacular live animal exhibits, natural science education programs, and lake cruises, the Science Center has educated and enlightened visitors for forty years about the importance of our natural world.
