Take I-495 or Rte. 3 to the Lowell Connector. Stay on the Connector to exit 5B Thorndike St. As you come off the ramp, you will be on Thorndike St. You will go under one overpass, continue straight, then go under twin overpasses. At the large intersection, bear right onto Dutton St. At the third set of lights (Hess gas station on your left), take a hard left onto Merrimack St. Ahead of you on your right will be Lowell City Hall, a large gray granite building with a clock tower. The next building on the street, directly behind City Hall is the Pollard Library. The Library is also built of gray granite and has 'Memorial Hall' carved in stone above the columned portico entrance. Handicapped access is on the side of the building.
