May 5th is Cinco de Mayo, so we’ll be celebrating by reading books about the holiday, as well as other books that celebrate Hispanic heritage, including 'Abuela' by Arthur Dorros and 'Hairs/Pelitos' by Sandra Cisneros.

After, we’ll make traditional tissue paper flowers to take home and display.
