A touching portrait of birthday celebrations and other unforgettable moments over the years between a mother and her daughter, Rose Lewis’s loving text and Jane Dyer’s luminous watercolors capture the richness of both Chinese and American traditions.

From joyous hugs for a new puppy to quiet nights remembering a faraway family, mother and daughter celebrate as well as take care to remember how they came to be together.

A beautiful companion to I Love You Like Crazy Cakes, Every Year on Your Birthday is a poignant tribute to the bond between parent and child that will delight loyal fans and captivate new ones. Following the reading, Ms. Lewis will be available to personalize books purchased at the event.

Come to the museum early and tour the exhibit Around the World with Miss Columbia, a celebration of world cultures through international children’s literature, figures, dolls and toys from the museum’s collection. Visitors are also invited to play in the exhibit’s children’s international puppet theater, piece together a giant world map puzzle, make an Indian Rakhi bracelet and more! Be sure to visit this favorite family exhibit soon. Exhibit closes July 8th.

Rose Lewis manages media relations for the world-renowned Lahey Clinic and is a former producer for WCVB-TV in Boston. She lives with her daughter, Alexandra Mae-Ming Lewis, and their dog Teddy in Massachusetts. Birthdays are their favorite days of the year.
