Description: On this day we will be reading Corduroy by Don Freeman, a tale of a teddy bear come to life.
The Jackson Homestead has a whole gallery dedicated to historic toys, and in this setting preschoolers and their caregivers will be able to play with historic toys, and even design a toy of their own.
Our free, bi-weekly Storytime program engages kids 18 months to 6 years old by focusing on play, Newton's history, literacy, and lessons from our museums.
Each 30-45 minute program includes reading from a children's book, an activity, a museum takeaway, and access to the museum afterward.
Families are welcome to bring snacks for their kids.
Includes free entrance to the museums after the program.
