The pollinator garden has a large shade structure over a circle of large sitting stones.
The nearby visitor center has bathrooms and a drinking fountain.
Feel free to bring snacks, chairs, blankets, or anything else you may need to be comfortable.
A large picnic blanket is always set out and open for all families.
Stories typically last for about 40 minutes, followed by a craft or hayride at the neighboring farm when staff are available.
Families are encouraged to visit the refuge, primarily located on Plum Island ~2 miles from the visitor center and garden, after the program to enjoy hiking trails, beaches, and wildlife.

TIPS | ↑ top |
- Stories typically begin right at 11am and will go for about 40 minutes, or until the kids get too antsy. We recommend arriving on time if able, but you can drop in any time. No need to bring anything special and there is plenty of free parking available. This area is safe and quiet, so your little one can wander the garden trails (with adult supervision) without disrupting other children if they need to take a break and then return to the reading circle.
