Open Door Theater is proud to debut a clever new musical by acclaimed local playwright and songwriter Rene Lewis Pfister. Have you ever wondered where nursery rhymes come from? Why, they come from Hamelin! Your favorite storybook and nursery rhyme characters bring the magical town of Hamelin to life in this enduring cautionary tale, The Pied Piper.

Swarms of mischievous Jazz Rats, Rock Rats, and a Big Phat Rat take the town by tuneful storm, and the underhanded Town Councilor sells the townsfolk up the river. But when 'The Pied Piper Plays that Pipe,' what happens next will surprise and delight you! With twists of fate, vaudevillian fun, and old-fashioned romance, the families of Hamelin learn that even if you are a Nimble, a Sprat, or live in a shoe, you can 'Write Your Own Story.' With an enormous cast, aged 9 to 60, adults and children alike will revel in joining the Piper's whimsical procession!

So follow The Pied Piper to Open Door Theater for this new twist on an old tale.

Performance dates are May 1-3 and 8-10 at the RJ Grey Auditorium in Acton. Tickets are $8 and are reserved seating. An ASL performance will be held on May 8th. To learn more about Open Door Theater, visit Opendoortheater.org. Tickets can be ordered through MKTix.com.
