There will be free face painting, refreshments, demonstration classes, contests & prizes along with the chance to meet the staff, tour the facility and attend one of three free stage performances at the adjacent NextDoor Theater!
On Saturday April 10 Kidstock! will present an interactive show 'Goldilocks and the Three Pigs' at 2 PM and again at 4 PM with Ballet Arts Centre presenting 'Scenes from Cinderella' at 3 PM. For more information on specific summer programs please visit kidstocktheater.com or bacw.com.
Kidstock! and Ballet Arts Centre share a renovated mill building at 50 Cross Street in Winchester, featuring 10,000 square feet of air conditioned space that includes a theater, dance studios, creative classrooms, art rooms and performance areas. There is ample parking, a fenced in outdoor stage space, as well as easy access to the Leonard Field playground. Each summer Kidstock! hosts over 750 local families who particiapte in one or more of their unique one and two week summer theater workshops. Every summer parody titles allow students of all ages and levels of experience to explore theater in a supportive team environment and create their very own musical production that is fully staged for an audience of family and friends. This summer some of the silly titles are 'Ahoy Story' combining themes of Toys and Pirates, 'Knight at the Museum' combining themes of Castles and Dinosuars, 'The Smog Prince' combining themes of Earth and Frogs and 'Wild Wild West Side Story' combining themes of Movies and The Wild West. Also the week of August 16-20 will explore Broadway Musical Theater with an all original musical written by the Kidstock! team based on a young magician named Harry called 'Potter!'.
