boston vs the stamp act a shadow puppet play photoJoin The Hurdy-Gurdy Band for an historical (and hysterical) presentation about the Stamp Act Crisis, when Bostonians began to show their resolve for freedom and independence. This family-friendly tale will be told in 18th Century style shadow theater, with historical musical instruments and a dash of whimsy!

The play will be presented on a 1762 replica theatre, featuring a glowing screen whereupon silhouettes of Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, and even King George III come to life. Hurdy-Gurdies, instruments popular in the streets of 18th Century England, will enliven the play with ballad tunes and country dances.
