Arnold Lobel's beloved characters hop from page to stage true to the spirit of these classic and favorite childhood stories. Through four fun-filled and delightful seasons the musical follows the woodland adventures of two amphibious friends, a worrywart, rather grumpy toad and a perky, cheerful frog, with their assorted colorful hopping, crawling and flying companions. Waking from hibernation in the spring, they proceed through their charming seasonal adventures, learning life lessons along the way, including an important one about friendship and what makes each of us different and special.
This show garnered three Tony Award nominations in 2003, for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.
