BARDS Program (July 11-August 6, 2011)
The CSC Summer BARDS Program is an intensive summer training program for young actors who are interested in pursuing a career in theatre.
For four weeks, BARDS students will participate in a series of skills-building classes in voice, movement and acting, as well as master classes led by guest artists. In addition to classes, BARDS Program Director Emily Holmes will direct students in a Shakespeare-related performance project to be presented at the end of the program for friends and family.
Weekly Schedule: Class schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Performance Project to be presented Saturday, August 6th, time TBD.
Application: Applicants must submit an application form, headshot and resume, one personal essay, one letter of recommendation and a $30 application fee. Applicants will be admitted to the Program based on their interest and experience in theatre, as demonstrated through their resume, personal essay and letter of recommendation. Deadline to apply is June 1st.
Tuition: Tuition for the BARDS program is $1,000.
Financial Aid: CSC has a very limited number of partial scholarships available to applicants demonstrating financial need. Please contact our office to discuss the available options.
