A cast of 14 area teens--and 1 almost teen--will appear in the Arlington Children's Theater production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. This isn't your typical Shakespeare production. Come prepared for a few surprises in this theater in the round production directed by Colleen Rua. Our version of Twelfth Night will recreate this circus theme, setting the story in a circus tent and giving each of the characters a position in the circus—acrobats, lion tamers, and a ringmaster,to name a few.

'Few Shakespeare plays have as much humor and whimsy as Twelfth Night,' said Melanie Hamilton, the show's co-producer. Kate Hamilton,the show's Olivia, says 'It's awesome seeing Shakespeare come alive in a way I never imagined.' Now in its fifteenth season, Arlington Children's Theater (ACT) performances are marked by high energy and creative staging. ACT hires professional theater artists to work with the children to bring high production values to the shows.

The perfomances will be at 7:00pm Friday, May 5th and 2:00pm Saturday, May 6th at the Arlington Masonic Temple at 19 Academy Street in Arlington.
