Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston is thrilled to present the regional premiere of Mitzi Gaynor’s critically acclaimed one-woman show “Razzle Dazzle! My Life Behind the Sequins” on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington Street, Waltham.

The legendary Hollywood, television and Las Vegas sensation, perhaps best known for her unforgettable portrayal as Nellie Forbush in the movie musical “South Pacific,” sparkles in the show that Rex Reed of the New York Observer calls “a total star-spangled package of energy and joy.”

“Razzle Dazzle! My Life Behind the Sequins” is an “intimate evening of laughs, love and music” with movie legend and triple threat superstar Mitzi Gaynor. This unforgettable love letter to a great era of show business is part concert and part memoir – a glittering multimedia one woman tour-de-force of side-splitting stories and classic songs, along with stunning video footage culled from her television, concert and film work. The New York Times has called Mitzi Gaynor “an all-time great.” She has performed “Razzle Dazzle!” to sold-out audiences across the country, including an acclaimed engagement at Feinstein’s at the Regency in New York City.

The show, backed by a seven-piece band with music director Ed Czach on piano, features Gaynor putting her own delightful spin on a variety of hits including “Honeybun,” a medley of songs from “South Pacific;” “Show Off” from “The Drowsy Chaperone;” “Everything Old Is New Again;” “Seems Like Old Times;” “There’s No Business Like Show Business;” and “Takin’ a Chance on Love” here rewritten as “Takin’ a Chance on Me.” Gaynor also tells insider stories that Talk Entertainment calls “hysterically funny.” Some stories unfold in front of a backdrop of stunning video clips from her prolific film and television career.
