Enjoy what happens to a small Midwestern community when an Elvis-like singing sensation swings through town looking for one last kiss before entering the Army.
Tony nominated star of stage and screen Anita Gillette (30 Rock, Moonstruck, Chapter Two) leads the cast as the comically overbearing mother of all martyred mothers Mae Peterson. Ryan Overberg co-stars as the swoon-inducing rock ‘n’ roll idol Conrad Birdie.
'Bye Bye Birdie' is a delightful throwback to a simpler time - when teenagers talked on land lines and only birds tweeted. Yet its comic and musical messages about love, tolerance, and American idol worship are as relevant today as ever! Classic musical numbers include “The Telephone Hour,” “Honestly Sincere,” “Put on a Happy Face,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” “Kids,” “Baby, Talk to Me,” and “Rosie.”
