Inspired by the popular movie, FOOTLOOSE thrilled Broadway audiences for nearly two years with the story of a city kid who challenges the rules to bring dancing -- and life -- back to a small town. Performers and audience members will have fun revisiting the ‘80’s through music, costumes and most importantly – dance!
The performances, part of NSMT’s Summer Stages program, are the culmination of weeks of hard work by 54 of the North Shore’s most promising young talent.
Tickets are available at the door. The Performance Academy and Summer Stages programs are supported in part by a generous grant from the Bank of America Foundation.
In 2005, NSMT’s Youth Performance Academy received the Junior Theater Festival’s Outstanding Achievement in Musical Performance Award and the Outstanding Achievement in Choreography Award for its performance of Disney’s Cinderella Kids.
