Metrowest Family Theater kicks off its 13th season with the family favorite, “The Wizard of Oz” at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street in Watertown.
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $24 for premium seating which guarantees the first five rows center.

A host of enthusiastic children portray the lovable munchkins, with teens and adults filling in the leading, supporting, and ensemble roles.
“The Wizard of Oz” is MFT’s 20th musical production and is directed by Samantha Hammel, whose vision honors the award winning movie while keeping the story and characters fresh and unique.
Choreographer Carla German weaves intricate dancing with simplistic movement together in a creative and effective way, highlighting trained and novice dancers alike.
John Bower, Oz’s musical director, enhances the timeless score with the harmonious voices of children and adults alongside a five piece orchestra.The cast hails from over 20 towns and features professional working actors and newcomers to the stage.
This production promises to be an entertaining and awe inspiring musical event for the whole family!

Frank Baum tale and songs like 'Over the Rainbow,' 'If I Only Had Brain' and 'We're Off to See the Wizard' with modern, dynamic dance numbers to create a delightful mix of contemporary and classic.
