Panto is a traditional form of family show in the U.K., and this is the fifth production of this type in Needham from The Fringe Theatre (TFT).
Panto is actually short for pantomime, but not the pantomime – completely silent performance – that most Americans are used to.
Silent, it most definitely is not.
Audience participation is encouraged: Audience members are encouraged to cheer for the heroes, boo the villains or asked to participate in one way or another.
The casts includes adults and children, from Needham and area towns.
Sleeping Beauty will run at The Christ Episcopal Church on Highland Av., in Needham on Friday, April 4 at 7:30, Saturday, April 5 at 2:30 & 7:30, and Sunday, April 6 at 2:30.
Adult tickets: $15; Children and other discounts: $10.
