RHINOCEROS
Written by Eugène Ionesco
Two friends meet for a drink in a café on a quiet day.
Business goes about as usual and all seems well until … a rhinoceros suddenly storms through town square?
In this absurdist comedy by Eugène Ionesco, a provincial French village is besieged by rhinoceroses that become the talk of the town until the villagers discover the source of the creatures — themselves.
A darkly funny commentary on conformity and mass movements, Rhinocéros demonstrates that heroes come from the most unlikely places and that perhaps humans and rhinoceroses aren’t so different after all.
