Charlotte’s Web tells the story of Fern Arable, a young farm girl, who takes in a runt pig named Wilbur as her pet, saving him from becoming bacon. When Wilbur gets too big for the house and is moved out to the Zuckerman’s barn, he meets a friendly spider named Charlotte. Fern’s father still considers slaughtering Wilbur, until Charlotte does something amazing to make everyone realize that Wilbur is “Some Pig!”

The multi-ethnic cast of Charlotte’s Web range in age from 8 to 16 and reside in nine different towns and neighborhoods; including the Boston neighborhoods of Brighton, Dorchester, Mattapan, and South End, and Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Waltham, and Wellesley.
