The kids’ Acting Up theater program at Roxbury Community College has put together a short performance entitled One Hen, based on the book of the same name.
There is a great story line accompanied by wonderful music.
Following the short performance, there will be an interactive workshop making costumes.
This activity is geared not only towards children and their families, but to those who work with children in a variety of settings.
The workshop has been made possible through a Humanism in Medicine Award from the Arnold P.
Gold Foundation to Violence Transformed, an initiative of the Victims of Violence Program of the Cambridge Health Alliance.
It will show how visual art can be used to encourage and empower kids to blossom.
The event will close with a fashion parade of all costumes created.
