In this classic and enchanting tale, Hansel and Gretel are sent into the woods to find strawberries. They soon become lost, but at nightfall are serenaded to sleep by the Sandman. In their hunger they come upon the gingerbread house of the Witch, who casts a spell on them. Of course, Hansel and Gretel outsmart her, breaking the spell and freeing all the children she had turned into gingerbread cookies! The children are reunited with their parents, and together dance and sing in celebration.
The students began this production in August at a 10-day intensive workshop and will culminate their work with this production.
