Make Way for Ducklings: Dance Prism
Dance Prism will present Make Way for Ducklings as their spring performance in locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts in April. Dance Prism’s original production of Make Way for Ducklings is based on the Caldecott Medal-winning book by Robert McCloskey. Set to the buoyant music of Leroy Anderson, the ballet traces the now familiar journey of Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and their family of ducklings from their quiet nest on the Charles River to their new home in the Boston Public Garden.
Following the performance the company will offer children and adults an “UnCommon Afternoon,” a reception evoking the atmosphere of the 1940s Public Garden, with free treats of the era --sweets for adults and balloons and cotton candy and other attractions for children, as well as an opportunity to Meet the Mallards and other characters from the ballet.
Tickets for the performance may be obtained through phone charges or mail orders by calling 978-371-1038 or visiting www.danceprism.com.
$22/adults, $16/students&seniors
