“Practical cats, dramatical cats, fanatical cats, oratorical cats, delphic oracle cats, skeptical cats, dispeptical cats…!” This June, Watertown Children’s Theatre will be the first children’s theater in New England to stage Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit rock and roll musical, “Cats”. WCT’s cast of sixty young and multi-talented “felines” will bring this musically complex and imaginative show to life, complete with hip dance moves and cool costumes inspired by the couture, Japanese Harajuku fashion. WCT’s production is set inside an abandoned opera house, where the rebellious cats creep inside and gather for the mystical Jellicle Ball. Audiences will meet spirited, fun, and humorous animals, each possessing unique and entertaining personalities. Come see WCT’s fresh staging of this award-winning musical, suitable for the whole family!
Performances are Friday, June 13, 7:00 pm; Saturday, June 14, 7:00 pm; Sunday, June 15, 2:30 pm at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, Mosesian Theater, 321 Arsenal Street in Watertown.
