Circus Smirkus, Vermont’s award-winning, non-profit international youth circus, is back on the road with their 2008 Big Top Tour, continuing its 21-year tradition of bringing joy and magic to audiences young and old. Thirty teen stars, ages 14 to 19, bring youthful exuberance and polished skills from all parts of the country and the world.

The show is full of talent and spectacle, with aerials, acrobatics, high wire, juggling, trapeze, clowning and array of brilliant costumes.

This year’s tour continues the tradition of theme-based shows with a scientific extravaganza called Smirkusology: A Science Extravaganza!, in which a team of quirky, crackerjack scientists attempt to formulate the chemical compound of circus. Unwind your mind, and join Smirkus for the silliest scientific spectacle, a virtual universe of whimsical wizardry and the discovery of the greatest invention of all time: pure joy.
