On August 22nd and 23rd, the Winthrop Playmakers will present a special event that will be fun for the whole family. The Playhouse will bring The Magic of Derek Raposo, a local magician and Playhouse member, to the stage in an event to raise proceeds to the Raise the Roof campaign.
Derek began performing magic at an early age. Over the years, he has evolved into a cutting edge magician with a fast-paced, high quality, Las Vegas-style magic show. From his performance of Houdini's Metamorphosis illusion to levitating tables, Derek and his assistant Jessica Hansen will keep you at the edge of your seat.
Opening the show to present their amazing skills and talents will be three local magicians from the Society of Young Magicians, Jonah Conlin, Matthew Leskanic, and Brad Rocheville. Brad is also another member of the Winthrop Playmakers, who was last seen acting on stage in The Full Monty.
