Makeshift Theatre Co. is bringing the classic story of a hapless hero and his clever cat to the stage. When young Guy (pronounced Ghee) discovers that his inheritance consists only of a cat and a pair of boots, it looks like his luck has run out. But then he gets to know the cat. Saucy and one-of-a-kind, Boots the cat has a few tricks up her sleeve.

She vows to help Guy marry the beautiful princess next door and free the town from the clutches of an evil ogre named Ugolin in the process. Boy gets girl, the town is freed, magical spells are broken, and much fun is had along the way.

Performances are October 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and 26th at the Coolidge Corner Theatre at 290 Harvard Street in Brookline. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www.coolidge.org. The October 25th performance also features our 4th annual Halloween costume contest. Wear your costume to the show for a chance to win fun prizes! All performances are at 10:30 am. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children.
