House of Stairs
Arlington Children’s Theatre will present House of Stairs, an original drama adapted by participants in A.C.T.’s Advanced Playwriting Workshop from a novel by William Sleator, at the Arlington Masonic Temple, November 21 and 22. Performed by a cast of 14 teenagers, this dark, intense drama explores the relationships among a group of kids trapped in a mysterious house containing nothing but stairs, as they engage in an elemental struggle for power under conditions out of their control.
House of Stairs, appropriate for ages 10 and up, is directed by Talia Etedgee, with assistant director Mari Watson, a student at Matignon High School. Performances will be in the Lodge Room of Arlington’s Masonic Temple, 19 Academy Street, in Arlington, Massachusetts, on Friday, November 21st at 7:00 PM and Saturday, November 22nd at 4:00 PM.
