Maria has been sent to the villa of Captain von Trapp in Salzburg, Austria, by the Mother Abbess to be governess to the Captain’s seven children. She teaches the children to sing and eventually falls in love with and marries the Captain. When the Nazis arrive to arrest the Captain, the entire family flees to Switzerland.
The production is performed by BCT Academy students from 14 different communities.
