There, they will join the museum's program director for a walk of the historic grounds, past the 1806 mansion and down to the farm. The focus of the tour will be the agricultural history of the estate and, yes, guests will learn what Manglewurzle is! Tour time is approximately 45 minutes. Free Parking available. Gore Place was the home of Christopher and Rebecca Gore. Gore was the 7th governor of Massachusetts, a lawyer, investor and farmer with over 400 acres of farmland. Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street, just off Route 20 (Main Street) near the Waltham/Watertown line.
