Fort Warren was built to defend the port of Boston and was staffed with soldiers for about 90 years.
Now a National Historic Landmark, Warren held captured Confederates during the Civil War.
Common guided tour themes include, Civil War prison life, design and evolution of the fort, armaments history, social history, and the World War I and World War II years.
This tour will feature the stories and folklore of Fort Warren and move quickly through the Fort's dark tunnels and rooms.

Take the park ferry to this program.
During the summer season, park ferries depart frequently from Long Wharf, Boston; Hingham Shipyard; and Pemberton Point, Hull.
