What is Talk Like a Pirate Day?
This parodic holiday was created in 1995 by John Baur and Mark Summers, of Albany, Oregon, who proclaimed September 19 of each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate!
(Aye, matey!) Along with hearing true pirate stories, you'll enjoy refreshments, play pirate trivia (why do pirates wear an eye-patch?), and view the beautiful Gore mansion.
Pirate dress is encouraged!
Tours at 7 and 8:15pm.
Admission is $15, $10 members and ages 5-12.
