Please join us for this walk to celebrate National Women’s History Month. While strolling through the Cemetery we will visit the memorials of women whose determination and courage moved history forward. Civil rights activist Josephine St. Pierre Ruffin, abolitionist Harriet Jacobs, peace activist Julia Ward Howe, and crusader Dorothea Dix are some of those we plan to visit.
Mount Auburn Cemetery is celebrating its 175th Anniversary with a year of lectures, musical performances, and other events at the Cemetery and around Boston. Please visit www.mountauburn.org for further information.
175 years into its mission, Mount Auburn Cemetery remains an active cemetery and a place of comfort and inspiration for the 200,000 people who visit it annually.
