Vernan Pools are Cool
These mysterious springtime pools often come and go without much notice, but they are an important habitat for many creatures.
Come learn why vernal pools are so special and why some animals' lives depend on them.
We’ll venture out into the woods to examine a vernal pool firsthand, and then use microscopes to observe some of its smallest residents, like fairy shrimp, which live their entire lives in about one week.
Preregistration and payment are required for each adult and child.
All family programs are for children with adult companions.
