Choose from one of two tours; 10:30am or 2:30pm.

Meet outside Wenham Museum’s historic Claflin-Richard’s home where you will be welcomed by Mistress Joanna McClaflin. Joanna will share stories of family life in 17th Century New England. After a tour of the Claflin room, step outside to enjoy playing Colonial games of graces, ball and cup, nine-pins and more.

Located only 30 minutes north of Boston and 30 minutes south of Newburyport on Route 1A.
Driving:
From points south: Take Route 128 north to exit 20-A (Route 1A - Hamilton). Follow Route 1A north for 2.3 miles. The Museum is on the right before the Wenham Town Hall.
From points north: Take Route 95 South to Route 128 North. Then follow the directions as above.

Public Transportation:
B&M Commuter Rail to Hamilton-Wenham; 15-minute scenic walk south from the depot on Route 1A.

  • Also visit the museum's galleries at a discounted price the day of Trails and Sails.The Wenham Museum is a family-friendly museum of social history exploring how we have lived, worked, dressed, and played from the 17th century to today. The museum features the Claflin-Richard House c.1690, a world-renowned doll collection, dollhouses, costumes and textiles, model trains, toys, historic photographs, the interactive Family Discovery Gallery as well as special exhibits.

  • The Museum is located at 132 Main Street in Wenham, MA, (978) 468-2377, www.wenhammuseum.org. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors, and $4.50 for children ages 2-16.
