Feeling in a tricky mood with April Fool's Day is coming? Join Children's Librarian Cathy DeVeer for an evening of Trickster Tales. Learn how Wiley outsmarts the Hairy Man and a small cat gets the best of a large ogre. You'll also be asked to test your own skills by solving some very tricky puzzle stories. This program is recommended for ages 8 and older.

From Boston via Route 93

Traveling south on U.S. Interstate 93, take EXIT 12 (Neponset). Bear right, passing the Staples & Walgreen shopping plaza on your right. Stay in the right lane, cross back under the expressway and head up the ramp over the Neponset Bridge. Stay in the right lane and bear right onto Hancock St. Continue through two sets of lights. At the third set of lights, turn right onto Squantum St. and then take the first left onto Holmes St. (one-way). Library parking lot is approx. 1-1/2 blocks on the left.

From the South via Route 93

Take Interstate 93 North toward Boston. Take the Route 3 South exit - EXIT 7 - toward Cape Cod. Exit immediately to the right at EXIT 18, Quincy Center/Quincy Adams T Station. Bear to the left following the signs for Quincy Center. Continue straight on Burgin Parkway through five sets of traffic lights, passing the Quincy Adams T station on your right and then a shopping center on your left. At the fifth light, continue straight and pass the Quincy Center T station on your right. Continue on Burgin Parkway, passing the Wollaston T Station . When you see the Stop & Shop on your left, bear right and follow the ramp to North Quincy. At the top of the ramp, take a right onto Squantum St. and then the first right onto Holmes St. (one-way). Library parking lot is approx. 1-1/2 blocks on the left.

From the South via Route 3A

Follow Route 3A north over the Fore River Bridge. Bear right onto Southern Artery and follow this to Hancock St. Take a right onto Hancock St. and travel through Wollaston Center and into North Quincy. Continue through the set of lights at the intersection with Billings Road; the North Quincy Branch is on your left and the Sacred Heart Church is across from it on the right. Take the first left past the library (Moscow St.) and turn left again onto Holmes St. (one-way). Library parking lot is approx. 1-1/2 blocks on the left.

From Cape Cod

Traveling North on Route 3, take EXIT 19, Quincy Center/Quincy Adams T Station. Continue straight on Burgin Parkway through five sets of traffic lights, passing the Quincy Adams T station on your right and then a shopping center on your left At the fifth light, continue straight and pass the Quincy Center T station on your right. Continue on Burgin Parkway, passing the Wollaston T Station. When you see the Stop & Shop on your left, bear right and follow the ramp to North Quincy. At the top of the ramp, take a right onto Squantum St. and then the first right onto Holmes St. (one-way). Library parking lot is approx. 1-1/2 blocks on the left.

Via MBTA Subway

Take the Red Line train to the North Quincy Station. Exit the station to Squantum St. Cross Squantum St. to Holmes St. and walk 1-1/2 blocks. Library parking lot and rear entrance is on the left.
