The seventh annual Hanukkah community celebration at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), will be held virtually on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 6 pm to 7 pm. This year's Hanukkah community celebration honors the rich history and traditions of the Jewish festival of lights through music, dance, an artist talk and a community candle lighting.
The free event, hosted in partnership with the Jewish Arts Collaborative and streamed on mfa.org and on Facebook and YouTube, features:
- A community candle lighting
- Music from multi-instrumentalist Hankus Netsky
- Simona Di Nepi, Charles and Lynn Schusterman Curator of Judaica, in conversation with artists Moshe Zabari and Tamar Paley
- The Boston Dance Theater performing “Shadows and Flame,” a new work commissioned for the MFA’s Hanukkah celebration
Sponsored by Chase. Presented in partnership with the Jewish Arts Collective and Combined Jewish Philanthropies.
