Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.
In Minni Make + Play – Toppling Towers (virtual) tiny architects will develop spatial awareness and learn all the basics of building.
Instructor Maria will demonstrate how to stick + stack cardboard to create original sculptures and toppling towers.
Materials Needed
Scavenger hunt items: block set or stackable toy.
Small cardboard boxes or pieces are a great substitute!
~6” cardboard square for a base
Cardboard pieces of various sizes and shapes
White Elmer’s Glue
Tempera paint or food coloring to color glue
A bowl to mix paint and glue in
A paint brush or sponge
Optional: small objects or materials to decorate tower with, such as pom poms, yarn pieces, paper shapes, cut up straws etc.
We encourage all participants to complete a fun scavenger hunt challenge before we gather for each workshop.
