Live virtual event features Celebrity Chef Diane Kochilas, star of “My Greek Kitchen” (PBS); Celebrity Chef/dietitian Ellie Krieger, star of “Healthy Appetite” (Food Network) and “Ellie’s Real Good Food” (PBS); and Dr. Sarah Ballou, GI Psychologist at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
On April 10th from noon to 1:00 p.m. EST, two Food Network/PBS Celebrity Chefs and a Celebrity Food Psychologist will teach you how to “Boost Your Mood With Food” by following the Mediterranean Diet.
The health, financial, and social impacts of COVID have increased our stress levels, anxieties, and mood, and changed our finances and dietary habits.
Foodicine Health (www.foodicinehealth.org) is producing this exciting virtual event to demonstrate that self-care and a healthy diet can boost your immune system and reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety during these times.
Chef Diane Kochilas will provide a live cooking demonstration from Athens, Greece, including techniques to create two scrumptious meals using the delicious ingredient components of the Mediterranean Diet.
Three experts will join forces to help you feel happier and healthier:
• Food Network/PBS Chef and Dietitian Ellie Krieger will discuss tools to improve your self-care and nutrition to enhance your immune system and boost your mental health.
She will also discuss the benefits of following the Mediterranean Diet to improve mind/body health.
Host and executive producer of the Public Television cooking series “Ellie’s Real Good Food,” and well known as the host of Food Network’s “Healthy Appetite,” Ellie Krieger is the leading go-to nutritionist in the media today, helping people find the sweet spot where delicious and healthy meet.
• Dr. Sarah Ballou will discuss the impact of the pandemic on stress and mental health and will offer suggestions to promote health and self-care during these stressful times.
Dr. Ballou is the director of the GI Psychology Service and Assistant Professor in Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School.
• Chef Diane Kochilas will provide a live cooking demonstration from Athens, Greece, including techniques to create two scrumptious meals using the delicious ingredient components of the Mediterranean Diet.
