Ascentria in Massachusetts is the only program in New England providing foster care exclusively to unaccompanied refugee minors (URMs).URMs are children, usually ages 15 to 17, that have come to the U.S.
seeking safety and resources without a parent or guardian to care for them.
URMs may be refugees from overseas, or may be migrant children from the U.S./Mexico border.
Given current events across the globe and at our country's border, now more than ever is an important time to learn about how you can help these immigrant children.
There is much to learn about this unique type of foster care, and we hope you will join us to learn more!
