WGBH: Arts Walk and Art Auction Preparation Volunteer Opps
This year we are ready to present our second annual Boston Summer Arts Walk and Art Auction, a gallery tour of 14 different galleries along Newbury Street.
Patrons are welcome to view artwork at each of these locations, while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and are then free to bid on any of the artwork they like!
This event attracts hundreds of people and WGBH needs volunteers to help run a variety of activities, from being bid-takers, to floaters that provide assistance when necessary, and engage guests at the different galleries, to Arts Walk Ambassadors, to photographers, among other positions!
Positions Descriptions:
Art Transportation/Delivery: Help assist the Art Manager in transporting artwork to galleries on Newbury Street.
We will have a van to transport but need help physically moving the items.
Volunteers will meet at WGBH, however, we may need a volunteer to transport 1-2 volunteers and/or artwork into Boston (following behind the WGBH van).
SHIFT TIMINGS:
DATE: THURSDAY, JULY 17
SHIFT 1: 10:30AM – 1:30PM
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR: Art Transportation/Delivery (2)
SHIFT 2: 2PM – 5PM
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR: Art Transportation/Delivery (2)
The event itself is community driven and we hope to attract those with a strong appreciation for arts, education, and their community.
