Summer is “leafing” us behind, and now it’s time to fall into our autumn events.
There are plenty of ways to get involved in October – from lending a hand during the Food & Wine Festival to celebrating Halloween and reading with Arthur and his friends at the Boston Public Library.
Be the coolest kid in the class and sign up to volunteer first!

Saturday, October 28, 2017: A Celtic Sojourn in memory of Valerie Gunderson Osiecki Location: WGBH Studios
Description: WGBH and Brian O’Donovan in partnership with the late Valerie Gunderson Osiecki’s husband, Ted Osiecki, are bringing together supporters of Valerie, the arts and lovers of Celtic music for a special broadcast dedicated to her memory and her 25 years of service to WGBH.
We invite guests to join Brian as he hosts A Celtic Sojourn LIVE from WGBH’s Fraser Performance Studio.
This special broadcast features Celtic performances by Robbie O’Connell and Rose Clancy, Night Tree, and Conor Hearn and Maura Shawn Scanlin.
Following the show, guests will join Brian, Ted, the musicians, supporters of Valerie and WGBH members for a light reception.
This evening is part of an effort to raise money for the scholarship fund set up in Valerie’s memory.
The scholarship supports college-bound high school seniors from Cape Cod or the Islands who are pursuing degrees in the arts and is managed by The Cape Cod Foundation.
Position/Shift: Food Host (4:30-8pm), Greeter (4:30-6pm), Photographer (4:45-7pm), Registration using an iPad (4:15-6pm), TIPS Certified Pourer (4:30-8pm), Usher/help with chairs (4:30-7pm)
*Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age
