Fisherman's Beach (Swampscott) cleanup!
This beach cleanup is also part of COASTSWEEP—the statewide beach cleanup sponsored by the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) each fall.
COASTSWEEP is part of the International Coastal Cleanup organized by Ocean Conservancy in Washington, DC.
There is ample parking (free 2-hour parking along Humphrey Street and a free public parking lot), as well as a bus stop right in front of Fisherman's Beach.
When facing the beach, we'll be setting up to the right of the parking lot.
Look for the blue Surfrider flag!
Please email cleanups@ma.surfrider.org if you have any questions.

All participants should preregister for this cleanup if possible!
Additional details will be sent to registered participants ahead of the event, as well as the required waiver forms.
We will still be following several protocols as an extra precaution:
- Please bring your own reusable work gloves for this cleanup!
- We’ll still provide sanitized buckets and tools for trash collection, as well as gear for data collection and plenty of hand sanitizer!
COVID-19: While we'll be respecting social distancing measures during the event, please carefully consider the risks of attending.
Stay home if you or someone you are in close contact with is in a high-risk group, has recently had any symptoms, or suspects recently being exposed.
There are many ways to protect the ocean from home, so please feel free to reach out if you’d like any ideas!
Thank you for your help and cooperation in protecting and enjoying the ocean!
We hope to see you out there :)
