First-time sailors as well as more experienced skippers are invited to join the festivities at Lewis Wharf. Sailing trips along Boston's historic waterfront will be conducted by aboard a fleet of boats ranging in length from 23 to 40 feet. The Center's award-winning teaching staff will be on hand to answer questions about sailing basics and introduce guests to the exciting sport.
Lesson and membership programs will be discounted during the event. A portion of the fees will be donated to Save The Harbor/Save the Bay, a nonprofit agency working to protect and promote Boston Harbor as one of the region’s great recreational resources.
This year marks the 33rd annual Free-Sailing Weekend hosted by the Center.
